PRODUCTS MADE OF TEXTOLITE

 

Textolite of PTM-2 Grade

Textolite is used for production of sliding bearings, gearwheels, electrotechnical components for outdoor operation and oil transformers, joint scaling inserts, prosthetic devices and other components.  Textolite is manufactured by way of direct hot pressing and impregnating coarse calico fabric with Bakelite lacquer.

Textolite has high distinctive mechanical parameters and heat endurance in comparison with ordinary plastic.  Furthermore, it is easily undergoes mechanical treatment (drilling operations, turning operations, saw cut and grinding work). If compared to metals, textolite is characterized with resistance to abrasion, elasticity and long service period. 

Textolite is manufactured in form of sheets with thickness from0.5 mmto110 mmor molded products.

 

  Scope of application.

            Textolite is used in mechanical engineering for fabrication of gasket washers, bearings and inserts, noiseless gearwheels and pulleys. It is considered that tooth non-metal wheels are more vibration resistant and elastic in comparison with similar products made of steel. Products made of textolite are often operated together with metal components that enables to reduce wear. For example, similar gearwheels operate longer in distribution mechanisms, car and aviation engines, in speed switch boxes of various machine-tools, in reducers, in transmissions from electric engines which power amounts to no less than 100 kilowatt.

Paper-Based Laminate of Electrotechnical Plate-Type

Paper-based laminate represents laminar pressed material made of Bakelite paper. Sulfide impregnating paper impregnated with ashy resins is used for production of paper-based laminate.

Paper-based laminate is manufactured by way of direct hot pressing with exposure at temperature of 130 С.

Paper-based laminate is designed for exploitation within working temperature from -60 to 100 С.

 

Scope of application

          Paper-based laminate is used for operation in transformer oil, panels and boards as a structural insulating material, for devices and plants which are operated under high humidity conditions. Predominantly, cardboards for devices used in domestic conditions are made of paper-based laminate. All devices must be low voltage. Paper-based laminate is also used in production of accumulator batteries for automobile transport.

Structural Glass-Textolite

Glass-textolite is designed for fabrication of sheets and products for structural purpose. It is characterized with excellent thermal conductivity, moist resistance, biological resistance and high endurance. Furthermore, it has small weight and has good electric insulating specifications; it is non-toxic and stands out with high inflammation temperature.

Glass-textolite structural represents a laminar pressed material which consists of several layers glass cloth impregnated with thermoreactive resin or lacquers based thereon.

 

Scope of Application of Glass-Textolite.

It is applied in aviation, metallurgy, oil and gas processing industry, shipbuilding as well as for production of hardware and technical equipment for trolleybuses and trams.

Glass-textolite is used for production of components for electric insulating purposes which are operated for long period of time at temperature to200 Cand for short period of time at temperature to 300 С as well as structural and heat insulating material.
